Section V: Botany and Herbaria

The ephemeral translated into permanence. In this section of the archive, I study the silent architecture of the plant world. Roots, foliage, blooms, and floral anatomies are removed from their natural cycle of decay and fixed upon paper through the discipline of ink. Much like a historical herbarium, each plate is a meticulous observation of form and structure. The original ink drawings are reproduced here as fine art prints on 100% cotton paper, using archival pigments that grant the line a longevity denied to nature itself. A visual catalog for collectors, scholars, and those drawn to the natural sciences.
