I observe with clinical rigor the geometry of the hourglass, an object I define as Arena Temporis for its ability to make the abstraction of becoming tangible. I trace its symmetrical curves based on the 1.618 proportion, analyzing the Greek etymology of the "water-thief," a concept dating back to ancient Egypt for measuring brief temporal intervals. Every ink stroke investigates the inexorable passage from dust to void, capturing the precise moment the future transforms into the past through a narrow glass neck. It is not merely a measuring tool, but a document witnessing the human attempt to contain the infinite. This work is preserved in my Archive and is available in three different formats.

Each archival fine art print is printed to order in my Florence studio and shipped within 3–5 business days.
