Horologium Huygens - Fine Art Ink Print | Astronomy & Temporality
Couldn't load pickup availability
In this study, I have traced the origins of measurable time. I observe Christiaan Huygens' 1656 mechanism not merely as a machine, but as a direct extension of astronomy itself. The lines capture the tension between gravity and regular oscillation-the human attempt to harness celestial infinity into a constant mechanical beat. It is the geometry of isochronism revealing itself on paper, a silent dialogue between gears and planetary orbits. I have analyzed every tooth and counterweight to restore the sanctity of scientific precision and the profound elegance of the golden ratio applied to motion. This work is preserved in my Archive and is available in three different formats.
Each archival fine art print is printed to order in my Florence studio and shipped within 3–5 business days.
