Shipping & Archival Handling

"An artwork is fragile only until it is protected. My shipping protocol ensures the work reaches your hands exactly as it left my drawing table."

The "Safe-Art" Protocol

We do not ship mere prints. Every work from the Lorenzo Caia Archive travels within a bespoke packaging system designed to withstand impact, pressure, and humidity.

  1. Artisanal Preparation: After the ink has settled and the seal is applied, the work is wrapped in acid-free silk tissue paper. This PH-neutral layer protects the ink surface from micro-scratches and dust.
  2. Structural Integrity: * A5/A4 Formats: Shipped in extra-rigid, reinforced "anti-bend" pressed cardboard envelopes.A3 / Large Formats / Originals: Secured in triple-wave extra-strong tubes or reinforced flat boxes (depending on paper weight), sealed against moisture.

Logistical Contribution & Transit Thresholds

The structural integrity of paper and ink during transit is guaranteed through the use of rigorous archival standards.

Destination | Contribution | Managed Threshold

  • Italy: €9 | Included above €80
  • Europe (EU): €15 | Included above €120
  • World: €30 | Included above €200

The logistical contribution covers the securing of the work via anti-pressure housing and priority tracking systems. For acquisitions exceeding the specified values, the cost of transit is fully absorbed by the Archive.

Production & Delivery Times

The Archive operates on an Artisanal Fulfillment model. Each piece is printed or prepared specifically for your order to ensure perfection.

  • Curation & Quality Control: 2–4 business days.
  • National Shipping (Italy): Tracked Express Courier – 3/5 business days.
  • International Shipping: Tracked Express Courier (DHL/UPS) – 3/8 business days.

You will receive a Tracking ID via email as soon as the Archive releases the package to the courier.

"Each work ships from Italy with archival care, accompanied by the documentation required for customs clearance. Under current import regulations, shipments to the United States are subject to formal customs entry regardless of order value, and shipments to Canada are generally subject to duty above a minimal threshold. Any customs duties or import taxes are determined by the destination country, collected by the carrier at the time of delivery, and are not included in the listed price."

"Zero Risk" Guarantee

Should the courier damage the package, the responsibility is mine, not yours.
Please send a photograph of the damage within 48 hours of delivery to info@lorenzocaia.com. We will prioritize a new printing and shipment at our expense, immediately.

The Collector's Right of Return

You have 14 days from delivery of your order to request a return or cancellation, for any reason and without justification (EU right of withdrawal).

To start a request, log in to your account at https://account.lorenzocaia.com and submit a return or cancellation request from your Orders page.

For returns to be accepted, the work must be:

  • In pristine condition, unframed, and not handled with bare hands (especially for cotton paper prints)
  • Returned in its original rigid packaging

Return shipping: Return shipping costs are the collector's responsibility in all cases, except where the item is damaged or incorrect. We strongly recommend a tracked service.
