Limited Editions & Certificate of Authenticity
From Drawing to Edition
Every Limited Edition begins with one of my original ink drawings and with a precise decision: to transform selected works from the archive into physical editions created to be observed, collected and preserved.
For each artwork, two editions are created: Studio /30 and Archive /20, each with its own finish and defined edition size.
This is where the distinction between the two editions begins: two physical interpretations of the same drawing, each with its own material identity.
Studio /30
30 copies · white and neutral finish
Studio keeps the background clear and allows the black ink, hatching, annotations and smallest details to emerge with greater definition.
It is the more essential and contemporary interpretation of the artwork.
Archive /20
20 copies · warm and aged finish
Archive introduces a more tactile, warmer tone inspired by the plates, documents and archival materials that form part of my visual world.
The drawing remains the same; what changes is the way it lives on the paper.
For each artwork, there are therefore 50 Limited Edition copies in total: 30 Studio and 20 Archive.
Once either edition reaches its final number, I consider that edition complete and no further copies are added.
Paper, Printing and Format
All of my Limited Editions follow the same production standard.
Format: A3 - 29.7 × 42 cm
Printing technique: Ink on paper
Fine Art paper: Modigliani Candido
Weight: 260 g/m²
Studio: white / neutral finish
Archive: warm / aged finish
On each individual artwork page, I also indicate the actual image dimensions and margins, so you can understand the proportions of the print precisely before choosing or framing it.
Signature, Numbering and Authentication
I personally sign and number every copy.
Numbers are assigned progressively according to confirmed purchases: from 01/30 to 30/30 for Studio and from 01/20 to 20/20 for Archive.
The number cannot be selected at the time of purchase: each new copy receives the next available number within its edition.
I also apply my blind embossed stamp directly to the print, creating a physical mark in the paper without adding ink to the artwork.
On the reverse, I write a unique authentication code in pencil, created specifically for that individual copy.
Certificate of Authenticity
Every Limited Edition is accompanied by its own Certificate of Authenticity.
The certificate documents the identity and characteristics of the specific copy that enters your collection.
It records:
artwork title · printing technique · paper and weight · format · image dimensions · Studio /30 or Archive /20 · copy number · year of edition · unique authentication code · signature · blind embossed stamp
The same code also appears on the reverse of the print and is recorded in my internal Limited Editions register.
The artwork, certificate and registration therefore remain connected over time, even when they are stored separately.
From the Studio to Your Collection
Before shipping, I personally inspect, sign, number and authenticate every Limited Edition.
The A3 print is shipped flat and protected inside rigid packaging, while the Certificate of Authenticity is kept separate from the printed surface.
Every shipment is tracked and insured. Once I hand the order to the carrier, you receive the tracking information needed to follow its journey through to delivery.
If the package or artwork arrives damaged, contact me as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours of delivery, and include photographs of the packaging and the print.
I respond to the report within 2 business days and personally handle the issue.
If a replacement is required, I keep the same edition number as the original copy. The previous authentication code is cancelled and a new one is assigned to the replacement, so the declared edition size remains unchanged.
Caring for the Artwork
When you receive the print, open the packaging on a clean, dry surface and handle it preferably by the edges.
To preserve it over time, avoid prolonged direct sunlight, high humidity and strong environmental fluctuations.
For framing, I recommend materials suitable for works on paper and mounting methods that do not require adhesives to be applied directly to the print.
If you have any questions about the artwork, its care or framing, you can contact me even after your purchase.
Two Editions. A Personal Choice.
Studio /30
Clear, neutral, essential.
The line and contrast remain at the centre.
Archive /20
Warm, aged, tactile.
The surface becomes more present in the atmosphere of the artwork.
Observe how the artwork changes on paper and choose the edition you want to bring into your collection.
