Section II: Animals and Natural History

The natural world permits no approximation. Within this section of the archive, I catalog the form and structural movement of terrestrial and avian fauna. Through the rigor of ink work, I isolate the subject from its habitat to examine its anatomical essence. Drawing from the tradition of historical bestiaries and the taxonomic plates of early naturalists, these scientific animal illustrations map the kingdom with exactitude. The original ink drawings are preserved here and presented as archival giclée prints, struck on museum paper with pigment inks to ensure these biological forms endure.
