In my archive, I regard this study not merely as a depiction of an 1892 movie camera, but as the dissection of a technical and philosophical miracle. I have traced the lines of this apparatus to investigate the exact moment when time ceases to flow and becomes an imprinted sequence. In "Motus Lucis," I analyze the transition between reality and its photochemical simulation, where 35mm film becomes the medium for a new modern mythology. Every ink stroke is an observation on the persistence of vision and our obsession with capturing the ephemeral. This conceptual analysis is available in the Archive in three different formats.
Each fine art print is printed to order in my studio and prepared for dispatch within 2-4 business days.
