Some choices last only a moment. Their consequences can last a lifetime.
At the centre of Sphaera Fati, a fractured sphere emerges from the ink. Around it, lines and trajectories branch out like possibilities still open to us. Cross-hatching gives it weight, while geometry seems to measure something that no calculation can ever fully predict.
Because every decision carries a loss. Choosing one path means leaving others behind. And we cannot always know where the road we take will lead.
If you could see the consequences of a choice before making it, would you still have the courage to choose?
Sphaera Fati grew from this thought: the endless cycle of choices and consequences, the irreversible game of life. A game in which every move can change what comes next, but none can entirely erase what came before.
Perhaps this is the greatest weight of freedom: being able to choose without ever knowing for certain whether we have chosen well.
Look at the trajectories around the sphere. They seem to point in many directions, yet one question remains: which would you have chosen?
