A back that bears the strain. A weight willingly taken on. Strength offered as shelter for someone else.

In Dorsum, dense ink marks follow the human musculature, while geometric lines seek to give it order. Yet what geometry could ever measure the weight of what we carry for others?

At the heart of this work lies a thought: let me carry it on my shoulders. It can be an act of devotion, but also a question about our limits. When does supporting someone become forgetting that we, too, need support?

In this numbered edition, that question remains. The drawing does not ask us to admire strength alone, but to look at the vulnerability that may exist within it.

+ The Editions & Authentication

Each Lorenzo Caia Limited Edition begins with an original ink drawing and belongs to a defined, numbered series.

The Limited Edition system consists of two distinct editions:

Studio /30

A series of up to 30 individually numbered prints, from 01/30 to 30/30.

Archive /20

A separate series of up to 20 individually numbered prints, from 01/20 to 20/20.

Each copy is individually hand-signed and numbered by Lorenzo Caia, bears his blind embossed stamp directly on the print, and is accompanied by a physical Certificate of Authenticity.

Once the declared number of copies in an edition has been reached, no further copies are added to that edition.

Studio and Archive are separate editions of the same artwork. Their specific paper, finish, price and availability are determined for each release and described on its product page.

Each number identifies an individual copy within its edition. Numbers are assigned progressively according to confirmed purchases, following the edition's authentication and registration system.

Each Lorenzo Caia Limited Edition is a physical fine art print produced from an original ink drawing.

Paper & Printing

Inkjet printing on Modigliani Candido paper, 260 gsm.

Format

A3 - 29.7 × 42 cm (11.7 × 16.5 in).

Edition Finishes

Studio /30 - White background.

Archive /20 - Ivory-toned printed background.

Both editions use the same paper. The difference in background tone belongs to the visual presentation of the artwork, not to a different paper stock.

Care & Display

Handle the print with clean, dry hands and avoid touching its printed surface.

Keep it away from direct sunlight, excessive humidity and contact with water. Framing with suitable protective glazing is recommended.

Slight differences between the image on your screen and the physical print may occur due to display settings and lighting conditions.

Frames shown in photographs are for illustration only and are not included.

+ Packaging & Delivery

A Limited Edition is a physical work on paper. Its preparation for delivery deserves the same attention as its presentation.

Each print is prepared for dispatch within 2-4 business days. Preparation time is separate from transit time.

Packaging is selected according to the print's format and physical requirements.

Tracked shipping options and their costs are displayed at checkout according to the destination and order value. Complimentary delivery applies where the relevant threshold is reached.
